Editing the rights info of your project

Why it is Important

Adding and maintaining your Rights Information on your project is pivotal to the success of your project.  When you option rights to a certain project it gives you a finite amount of time to get your project developed to a certain point so that you either extend or purchase the rights.  This feature will also keep any team members that are a part of the workspace, or project, caught up on any rights Info as it changes through development.  The rights section of every project within Symbonic offers the following fields for information:

Rights Information

1. Overview History
2. Are the Rights Optioned?
3. Based On/Underlying IP

Tracking Information

1. Expiration Date
2. Rights Option
3. Who is in Control? Ours versus someone else's.
4. Is there an Option Extension? 
5. Option Contact(s)
6. Notes

Editing the Rights info for your Project

From the project grid, select your project and then click Edit in the submenu.  Scroll down on the left and click Rights.  Add or edit any of the necessary fields, don't forget to click Update at the bottom to save all your changes.
