Adding an Asset
Why it's Important
A production asset is any item purchased, or manufactured, during the course of a production which will have a residual value and may be available for sale once no longer required by the production. Many production companies have multiple assets that fit into this narrative and for this Symbonic has created the IP Inventory Module to keep a running record of all your companies assets.
How it works
Once you have added the IP Inventory Module to your Symbonic plan you will find "IP Inventory" in the top menu of your Symbonic account. Once you click IP Inventory you will see a sub menu that has a section for each type of asset:
- Products
- Content
- Company
Select the type of asset that best fits yours, then click +Add on the far left side, underneath the sub-menu. From here add as much information as you can to all the following fields and click Save at the bottom. After clicking save you will find your asset in one of the 3 Asset grids depending on where you saved it.
NOTE: If you double-click on the asset entry in the grid it will take you to the Asset Page where you can do the following:
- Make Edits/Updates
- Add Notes
- Add Files
- Check Activity
