Utilizing the log line database when sending basic materials

Why it is Important

When developing a project, sometimes in order to get a distribution deal or even find the best writer you need to have some flexibility in the foundation of your storyline.  Symbonic makes it easy for any user to manipulate the project's log line and keep an accurate database of each log line sent out.  This feature only works when sending out materials through the Basic Mode in the Send Wizard.  

Accessing the Log Line Database

After selecting the materials you would like to send out and selecting Basic Mode in the Send Wizard you will see a Log Line field below.  The log line field is already auto-filled with the log line that you entered when you first add your project.  You can manipulate the log line in this field to pique the interest of whomever you're sending it to.  Any changes you make to the log line in the Send Wizard will be saved in the Sent Log and to the Share Page that you send out and not to the actual data of the project.  

The log line in the send wizard is 100% editable, even after you send out the package.  To view and edit the log line in an already sent package you do it from the sent log.  From the Sent Log, select the entry you'd like to view and or edit.  Double-click or right-click and select Edit to whichever entry.  This will re-open the send wizard and from here you can view the customized log line or you can edit and click Update.
